Caregiving in Quebec

According to the most recent population statistics (2024–2025 Quebec Survey on the Health and Well-Being of Caregivers —EQPPA), an estimated 27% of Quebecers aged 15 and over are caregivers (30% of women and 25% of men). This represents approximately 2,076,300 people.

Caregivers

As a group, caregivers are highly diverse: they vary by gender, age, living situation, the type of support they provide, etc. Recognizing these differences is essential to understanding the specific challenges they face, collectively and individually. In the list below, learn more about caregivers’ diverse realities thanks to the original, useful and accessible publications produced by the Observatory.
