This guide (149 pages) and its summary (24 pages) were created to support organizations wishing to combat stigma and make their programs more inclusive for people with dementia and their caregivers. They offer guidelines for program development, from visioning and planning to implementation, assessment and sustainability.
The guide was developed through a collaborative process by a Community Action Team (CAT) consisting of people with dementia, care partners, community champions and researchers in Ontario and British Columbia. The team met monthly for a year and a half.
