This fact sheet (16 pages) presents a round-up of the financial support currently available in Quebec for caregivers. It also identifies the challenges caregivers encounter in terms of accessing support as well as how support can impact their lives. A number of possible solutions are proposed to caregivers, care receivers and decision-makers as well. This document is part of a set of fact sheets on caregiver support co-produced by the Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS) and the Quebec Observatory on Caregiving. It is based on various literature reviews conducted by the CREGÉS under a provincial mandate granted to the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS).
