This document (15 pages, in French) examines the process of implementing the Comité Virage Proches Aidants Régional (CVPAR) and its eight local branches (Comités Virage Proches Aidants Locaux, CVPAL) in the territory covered by the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de Chaudière-Appalaches. The document is divided in two sections. The first describes the process, its interest for stakeholders and what it brings to existing caregiver services. The second aims to serve as a springboard for discussion on how best to apply the process in different settings.
N.B. Though the practices described in this document may have evolved since its publication, they are still relevant in their capacity to inform and inspire initiatives that could benefit caregivers.
This video (13 min., in French) presents complementary information and looks at how the process has evolved over the years. Presented by Julie Légaré, regional caregiving coordinator, CISSS de Chaudière–Appalaches.
