This document (14 pages, in French) examines the process of implementing a regional issue table — the “Table de concertation régionale en proche aidance 0-100 ans” — in the territory covered by the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) de la Mauricie-et-du-Centre-du-Québec. The document is divided in two sections. The first describes the practice, its interest for stakeholders and what it brings to existing caregiver services. The second aims to serve as a springboard for discussion on how best to apply the process in different settings.
To complement the document, a video was produced to describe how the practice evolved over time. This video was presented by Karine Parenteau on February 23, 2023 as part of the Communauté de pratique Proche aidance (Caregiving practice community).

The document was produced for the Communauté de pratique Proche aidance (Caregiving practice community) by the knowledge transfer team at the Institut Universitaire de première ligne en santé et services sociaux (IUPLSSS), part of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie–CHUS. It is one of nine guides in a best practices compendium that covers a range of caregiving topics. Created to promote the support and full recognition of caregivers, and informed by ongoing practices in different Quebec health and social services establishments, the compendium is directed at all public, associative, community and private sector stakeholders involved in caregiving.
