This report (82 pages, in French) explores the needs and challenges of male caregivers. It highlights best practices to support the introduction of caregiving services better tailored to these caregivers, taking into account various sub-populations: men in general, men from ethnocultural communities, men identifying as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, older men, and men living in rural areas.

The report is based on a rapid literature review of publications dealing with male caregivers. A total of 217 documents that met all the inclusion criteria were selected for analysis.

The findings are also presented in a webinar (26 min, in French) that aired on April 4, 2025 as part of the Communauté de pratique Proche aidance.
