This series of reports looks at the caregiving situation in Ontario. Each year, some 800 caregivers in the province responded to a survey regarding their responsibilities, their mental and financial health, the balance of paid work and care responsibilities, and how caregiving impacted their lives. The surveys set out to shed light on various facets of the role of caregivers to better tailor the available support to caregiver needs.
Note that these data are drawn from a survey and complement the population survey data compiled from Statistics Canada’s General Social Survey.
