This watch bulletin (20 pages, in French) explores international approaches to home hospitalization to highlight the challenges related to implementing this care model, particularly for caregivers. Projects in France, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Spain are examined with a view to applying best practices to the Quebec healthcare context.
The findings are drawn from a scientific and grey literature review documenting clinical trajectories, needs, acceptability, lessons learned, facilitating and limiting factors, barriers, preferred technologies and quality criteria.
