This research brief (2 pages) presents a Canadian study on how the social participation of carer-employees (CEs) impacts their quality of life and mitigates the symptoms of depression.
Data from the 2010 and 2014 Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) were used to perform two cross-sectional analyses that examined the association between CEs and depressive symptoms, the better to understand the moderating effect of social participation.
