On February 4, 2025, the Observatoire presented a webinar (in French) in collaboration with L’accompagnateur entitled Qu’est-ce qu’une personne proche aidante ? Mieux comprendre, pour mieux se reconnaître . Following this webinar, which focused on the recognition of parent caregivers, an article (in French) was published on the L’accompagnateur website.

In this article, we explore the definition of a caregiver under the Act to Recognize and Support Caregivers, adopted in 2020 by the Government of Quebec. We also discuss the reality of parent caregivers, the challenges related to recognizing this role, and the available resources to better support them.
