Projects to come in 2025: enlightening publications to better understand the reality of caregivers

The year 2024 was marked by important initiatives and collaborations for caregiving in Quebec. The year 2025 also looks promising, with many developments to come.

The year 2024 was marked by important initiatives and collaborations for caregiving in Quebec. Our team is proud to have contributed by co-organizing the Journée nationale de concertation en proche aidance and publishing several productions, including those on caregiving trajectories.

The year 2025 also looks promising, with many projects on the horizon. Here’s an overview of these upcoming projects:

Original publications
  • Scientific watch bulletin covering articles published between October 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024
  • States of knowledge on various topics, such as:
    • Ethical issues surrounding the recognition and self-recognition of caregivers
    • The trajectory of young caregivers
    • The trajectory of parent caregivers of autistic children
    • The trajectory of oncology caregivers
    • The trajectory of caregivers of people living with a mental disorder
  • Summary sheets on a variety of topics, including:
    • Self-recognition among caregivers
    • The sense of obligation caregivers may feel towards their role, and how to reduce it
  • Video on the recognition of caregivers
  • Interactive infographics representing various caregiving trajectories, such as:
    • The trajectory of caregivers of people living with a mental disorder
    • The trajectory of oncology caregivers
Activities to promote caregiving expertise from here and abroad
Structural collaborations that benefit caregivers
  • Presentation of the Webinar “Qu’est-ce qu’une personne proche aidante ? Mieux comprendre pour mieux se reconnaître” organized in collaboration with l’Accompagnateur
  • Production of materials to promote recognition of young caregivers with Proche aidance Québec, AMI-Quebec, Regroupement des aidantes et aidants naturels de Montréal, and CAP santé mentale
