Ce webinaire (16 min, en anglais) offre un tour d’horizon du rôle des personnes proches aidantes dans le maintien de l’écosystème mondial des soins. La professeure Dre Norah Keating présente comment les familles et les personnes proches aidantes se positionnent quant aux soins fournis par l’État et l’économie globale. Elle discute ensuite du contrat social de la proche aidance et termine sur l’importance de prendre en considération l’identité et la structure des familles dans le soutien aux personnes proches aidantes.

Le webinaire a eu lieu dans le cadre du symposium Empowering Futures organisé conjointement par The Middle East and North Africa Research on Ageing Healthy et The International Association of Gerontology & Geriatrics les 29 et 30 avril 2024.
