This paper (22 pages) from the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) and Assembly of First Nations Québec-Labrador (AFNQL) aims to raise government awareness of the experience of First Nations caregivers in the framework of Bill 56: An Act to recognize and support caregivers and to amend various legislative provisions. It presents the main challenges in terms of the needs of First Nations caregivers and offers recommendations for better supporting them.
