This publication series from the International Alliance of Carer Organizations The series aims to increase the visibility and awareness of caregiver issues, advance action on policy and programming for carers, and accelerate the spread and scale of leading carer practices globally. The practices showcased are:
- The Carer Passport, developed in the UK, a widely adopted systematic approach to recognize, value and support caregivers.
- The Carer Café, a community-based respite program developed in Taiwan that fosters caregiver recognition and community engagement.
- The Cafés des aidants, developed in France, which provides friendly spaces for carers to get together, share experiences and access emotional support.
- Family Carer Training, developed in Ireland to build the capacity of health and social care professionals to engage more effectively with carers.
The practices presented in these documents are evidence-based and informed by multiple stakeholders.
