This online resource provides downloadable tools and information aimed at raising awareness among its target audiences of the risks of caregiver abuse and the importance of treating caregivers well. It offers three toolboxes, each of which comes with a PDF brochure :

Each toolbox presents definitions, examples of caregiver mistreatment and ways to promote good treatment. Leaflets, an awareness-raising poster, a workshop facilitation guide and a participant’s workbook can also be downloaded from the main Web page.

These tools were developed as part of an action research project (in French) on caregiver abuse (those who care for older adults, and caregivers who themselves are older adults) led by Sophie Éthier (Université Laval), Marie Beaulieu (Université de Sherbrooke) and Proche aidance Québec.
