This report (39 pages) and the accompanying infographic presents the results of a survey conducted in July 2020 to study the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on‎ Alberta caregivers. The authors highlight the differentiated impact of COVID-19 on caregivers of both Albertans living at home (with the caregiver or not) and Albertans living in congregate settings (e.g. residential long-term care [CHSLD] or supportive living [RPA] ). They also consider the impact of COVID-19 on the number of hours of care provided, on caregivers’ physical and mental health, and on the professional, and home services received. The report‎‎‎‎ concludes with recommendations for improving caregiver support in Alberta.
