Collaboration and partnership are at the heart of the activities and values of the Quebec Observatory on Caregiving. Dialogue and cooperation with its stakeholders, whether they be from government bodies, non-governmental organizations, the health and social services network, the scientific community or caregivers, generate many benefits. These activities make it possible to imagine and implement solutions or initiatives that will have a positive impact on caregivers, while contributing favourably to the mission and goals of the organizations and individuals involved.
The intersectoral collaboration and partnership framework, announced today, sheds light on how the Observatory understands and prioritizes collaboration and partnership activities with its stakeholders, based on objective criteria, in order to maximize the benefits while respecting each other’s capacities.
The document is based on two exploratory reviews of the scientific and grey literature, as well as on consultations with the members of the Observatory’s committees representing several categories of stakeholders concerned by caregiving.
More generally, the model puts forward useful ideas to facilitate the rallying of caregiving stakeholders around mutually advantageous intersectoral collaboration and partnership activities, in keeping with the mission, vision and role of all parties.
