This report (92 pages) focuses on children aged 0 to 5 in Quebec who are experiencing developmental challenges or disabilities that may result in a need for adapted support or services, as well as the realities of being a parent in this situation. It explores their support needs along with the obstacles to navigating services that families are liable to encounter (obtaining a diagnosis, securing funding, accessing educational childcare, etc.). The report, which can be downloaded as a PDF, also issues recommendations on removing barriers and improving access to these services.

The data is drawn from a study by Gabrielle Pratte and Audrée Jeanne Beaudoin of the Université de Sherbrooke.
