This research report (140 pages, in French) examines the support available to caregivers in Quebec, Canada and internationally. It consists of three main sections:

  1. An executive summary and highlights summarizing the project and the main findings.
  2. An introductory section detailing the context, objectives and methodology.
  3. Fact sheets outlining the support available to caregivers through 22 support categories. Each contains a definition of the category in question; a status report on existing services and corresponding measures; an overview of the related issues or challenges; and suggestions for improvement.

The report was produced by the Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS) in 2020 in response to a 2018 mandate entrusted to the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal by the Quebec health and social services ministry.
