These gatherings provided an opportunity to share knowledge and inform our thinking on different realities, strengthen collaborations, and identify ways to better support caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an overview:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-text--divi-transition--default\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h6>\u00ab Partners in Care Summit: Sharing Realities, Shaping the Future \u00bb organized by the Senior Wellness Initiative (SWI) of the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN)<\/h6>\n<p>On February 25, we were pleased to participate in the \u201cCare Partners Summit: Sharing Realities, Shaping the Future,\u201d organized by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chssn.org\/projects\/senior-wellness-centres\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Senior Wellness Initiative (SWI)<\/a><\/strong> of the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN).<\/p>\n<p>The event brought together more than twenty representatives from community organizations working with English-speaking caregivers across Quebec, as well as key provincial partners. Activities included experience sharing, small-group discussions, and thematic presentations. The day concluded with a collective synthesis and priority-setting exercise, aimed at identifying key themes and priority actions to continue strengthening support for English-speaking caregivers of older adults in Quebec.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_0_wrapper preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default_wrapper preset--module--divi-button--default_wrapper\"><a class=\"et_pb_button_0 et_pb_button et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default preset--module--divi-button--default\" href=\"https:\/\/chssn.org\/projects\/senior-wellness-centres\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-icon=\"$\">To find out more <\/a><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-text--divi-transition--default\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h6>Webinar \u201cTrajectoire des personnes proches aidantes en contexte d\u2019oncologie\u201d presented by the Communaut\u00e9 de pratique Proche aidance<\/h6>\n<p>On April 16, in collaboration with Sylvie Lambert\u2019s research team and the organization Proche Onko, we presented a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w7Hcik9M_Ug\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>webinar focused on the trajectory of cancer caregivers<\/strong><\/a>. The webinar was broadcast as part of the oncology expert group of the Communaut\u00e9 de pratique Proche aidance (CdP Proche aidance).<\/p>\n<p>Now available as a replay, it offers an overview of this <a href=\"\/?page_id=19519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>caregiving journey<\/strong><\/a> and aims to stimulate reflection on current practices regarding caregivers in this context, in order to better identify gaps in the support provided to them.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_1_wrapper preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default_wrapper preset--module--divi-button--default_wrapper\"><a class=\"et_pb_button_1 et_pb_button et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default preset--module--divi-button--default\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w7Hcik9M_Ug\" target=\"_blank\" data-icon=\"$\">Watch the webinar (In French)<\/a><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_text_3 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-text--divi-transition--default\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h6>Conference \u201cSoins palliatifs : Rep\u00e8res dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en changement \u201d organized by the Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise de soins palliatifs<\/h6>\n<p>On May 7 and 8, we attended the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aqsp.org\/formations-et-evenements\/congres-aqsp-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> 35th annual conference of the Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise de soins palliatifs<\/strong><\/a>, which brought together more than 700 participants for a program packed with lectures, workshops, and networking activities.<\/p>\n<p>Our team was there to host a booth and present a lecture titled, \u201cLes personnes proches aidantes au c\u0153ur des soins palliatifs et de fin de vie : comprendre leur trajectoire pour mieux les soutenir.\u201d This event allowed us to network and highlight the pivotal moments and challenges faced by caregivers in palliative and end-of-life care, as well as the turning points where tailored support becomes essential.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_2_wrapper preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default_wrapper preset--module--divi-button--default_wrapper\"><a class=\"et_pb_button_2 et_pb_button et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default preset--module--divi-button--default\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aqsp.org\/formations-et-evenements\/congres-aqsp-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-icon=\"$\">Learn more about the congress (In French)<\/a><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-text--divi-transition--default\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h6>Webinar Launch of new tools on caregiving and ethnocultural diversity, presented by the SHERPA University Institute and the Quebec Observatory on Caregiving<\/h6>\n<p>On May 28, we participated in the launch of the <a href=\"https:\/\/confluences.sherpa-recherche.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Confluences toolkit<\/strong><\/a> developed by the SHERPA University Institute. Designed for professionals and practitioners working with caregivers and ethnocultural minority communities, it aims to deepen understanding, build capacity and support professional practice.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, our team had the opportunity to present the <a href=\"\/?page_id=19519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>trajectory of Immigrant Caregivers<\/strong><\/a>, featured in the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/confluences.sherpa-recherche.com\/histoires-et-parcours-proche-aidance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Stories and Caregiving Journeys<\/strong><\/a>\u201d module. This trajectory helps identify key moments in immigrant caregivers\u2019 experiences, as well as the factors influencing these experiences and their support needs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_3_wrapper preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default_wrapper preset--module--divi-button--default_wrapper\"><a class=\"et_pb_button_3 et_pb_button et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default preset--module--divi-button--default\" href=\"https:\/\/confluences.sherpa-recherche.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-icon=\"$\">Explore the kit (in French)<\/a><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_4_wrapper preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default_wrapper preset--module--divi-button--default_wrapper\"><a class=\"et_pb_button_4 et_pb_button et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-button--divi-transition--default preset--module--divi-button--default\" href=\"https:\/\/observatoireprocheaidance.ca\/en\/trajectory-of-cancer-caregivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-icon=\"$\">See the Trajectory of Immigrant Caregivers<\/a><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_text_5 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-text--divi-transition--default\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h6>Workshop \u201cTrajectoire de proche aidance en sant\u00e9 mentale : r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir ensemble aux enjeux et pistes d\u2019action\u201d as part of the continuing education program for family peer support workers of the Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise pour la r\u00e9adaptation psychosociale<\/h6>\n<p>On June 2, we had the opportunity to lead a reflective and interactive workshop on the trajectory of caregivers of people living with serious mental health problems.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop was part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aqrp-sm.org\/pair-aidance-famille\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>continuing education program for family peer support workers of the Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise pour la r\u00e9adaptation psychosociale<\/strong><\/a>.
