The Observatory is seeking to mitigate this situation by working with caregivers, professionals, government authorities and researchers to develop a <strong>shared language and specific terminology<\/strong> around caregiving. <\/p>\n<p>At present, there are no Quebec statistics with which to comprehensively identify caregiver characteristics or measure their health and wellness in any detail. This pillar is cross-cutting in the sense that its actions inform the other pillars. <\/p>\n<p>As a rallying point, the Observatory is a unifying structure where knowledge can be pooled and efforts can be aligned among the various actors both in Quebec and elsewhere, with a view to fostering mutual support and making more largely known current efforts in the field of caregiving.<\/p>\n<p>This cooperative outlook involves the many different groups and individuals who have a stake in caregiving: caregivers, the scientific community, government decision-makers, community organizations, and health & social services practitioners and other professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The pillar's aims are given concrete form through the Observatory\u2019s various structures (committees, project teams, working groups, partnerships) and consultation strategies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_2 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_block_module preset--group--divi-toggle--divi-transition--default\"><h3 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">A few achievements <\/h3><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>To maintain a comprehensive overview of the different caregiving stakeholders and any other organizations or individuals liable to have an interest in its mission, the Observatory regularly updates its <strong>stakeholder map<\/strong>\u2014 the diagram describing the roles, mandates and activities of each actor.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, each year the Observatory <strong>seeks out opportunities to meet with various stakeholders<\/strong>, either by setting up meetings and events (e.g. symposia, brainstorming sessions) or participating in their own such activities.
