This <\/span>report<\/span><\/b><\/a> (32 pages) and its accompanying <\/span>infographic<\/span><\/b><\/a> (1 page) present the findings of a participatory study to assess the state of caregiving practices and support services for individuals with disabilities in Nunavut. The report explores how Nunavummiut cultural beliefs and practices play into care, examines current challenges, and proposes recommendations for improving care and support systems in the territory.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The insights in the report emerged from a study involving individual and group interviews conducted with 543 members of 25 communities across Nunavut between 2021 and 2024. Among the participants, 88% identified as Inuk (Inuit).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
